Angel of Divine Love

Linda Van Camp, who studied spiritual paths, introduced me to Catherine
Ponder's The Dynamic Laws of Healing during the time that I was being
abused. The book talks of special Angels.

One section, a favorite of mine, is entitled, "How He Dissolved
Organizational Inharmony." It says peace and progress can be achieved in
an organization by calling on the Angel of Divine Love:

IRS must be the MOST inharmonious organization, so I decided to give this
a try and began repeating the affirmation.

In 1999, after years of IRS abuse, I made and sent out Christmas cards
containing a sterling silver Angel of Divine Love that I'd carved from wax
-- Dean Johnson* made a mold and cast them and I polished them with his
help. That's a scan of one up at the top, enlarged.

To get the dark blue of the sky, against which I thought the Angel would
best show up, I dyed thick, hand made paper till it was the color of this
page.

Each card had silver confetti stars on it, and one red confetti heart; my
greeting was in silver magic marker.

A sterling Angel of Divine Love was glued inside, and
a translucent, onion-skin paper insert was printed with
thoughts about the Angel of Divine Love . . . and Change.

The envelopes, which I can't quite remember, were colorful in some way
that set off the card and were also handmade.

Mostly, the postal machines mangled the cards. Which is a shame since each
one took very much time, and if it had not been mangled would have arrived
as lovely as it left my hands.

The power of the Angel of Divine Love may not have been mangled, though.
I received a letter dated December 12, 2003, from Peter Sepp, Media
Director of the National Taxpayers Union, in which he wrote, "I can't
disagree with what you wrote about the IRS continuing to cause stress in
many peoples' lives. I must admit too that I am very concerned that some of
the gains we made against the IRS's unchecked power in the late 1990s are
under threat of reversal."

So, gains were made!

I still carry my Angel of Divine Love
in my purse to remind me that Change
is not coins.

I was using this necklace sent to me by my cousin Marcie to focus my mind
on the Angel of Divine Love while I sat in the cool, shady, quiet corner of
my garden... until March 27, 2007, when a neighbor cut down the tree
boughs that provided the cool, shade and quiet.

On July 2, 2007, the clouds looked just like an angel to me, so I took
several pictures. Today I've added one of those pictures to the top of this
page. I didn't change the picture at all, except to crop out my fence at the
bottom. I'm curious, do the clouds look like an angel to you, too?

I'm using the uncropped picture for my desktop... and it's good because
there is a serious water problem that many of us are facing that we could
use some Angel of Divine Love help with. Plus, I have a due process and
justice problem which I need to keep remembering to give to the Angel of
Divine Love.
