Margaret Milner Richardson, IRS Commissioner
12th St. and Constitution Ave. N.E.
Washington, D.C. 20500
Dear Ms. Richardson,
Please find enclosed copies that ought to be of interest to you.
Since I don't know if there is a significant statistical correlation between
the record number of IRS levies in 1994 and the record number of
bankruptcies and foreclosures this year, I don't know that my worry
about an increase in suicides is founded.
I have not yet sent a copy of my June 19th letter to you to Mark Cox.
I am very curious whether, since I said I would copy it to him, you
yourself ignored it.
If you have ignored it, I want to ask you to please begin thinking about
what IRS is really doing to people, about the consequences of unjust
actions, and about the need for a National Sates Tax with quarterly
refunds to low income people.
I think that one of the reasons I have not yet sent it to him, is to put the
onus on you. I don't want you to think, "Oh, Albuquerque will deal with
this, I don't have to think about it."
Sincerely,
Karen Kline
