What makes a memory?
When I was little and afraid of Santa, I loved chocolate
covered cherries which appeared to only exist at Christmas.
Today these more sophisticated chocolates stir my taste
buds awake in anticipation of just a few new memories.

Batik is a fabric art in which a mixture of melted
wax is painted by hand onto areas where color is
not desired. When the fabric is crumpled into the
dying solution, the wax cracks, creating an
attractive network of fine lines. The wax is
removed and the process is repeated for each
color utilized.
"This robe comes packaged beautifully in a box
from Indonesia. It is gorgeous and feels wonderful
when wearing it. I'm very comfortable with it, in
fact, the rich colors are soft, yet vibrant and the
robe is dressy enough to wear when lounging
around after dinner. I'm saving it more for when
we go on vacation and I can take this instead of
my everyday robe. I'd highly recommend it to
anyone looking for a robe that feels classy." (one
of many happy reviews.)
This shoulder bag has been handmade by artisan women in
the Himalayan region of India. They are fashioned from
recycled silk with beautiful weaves of color. A lot of pride
and patience go into making each piece, and selling these
items provide these women with much needed income.
"the purse is great...people stop me all the time and ask where

Southeast Asian cultures and tradition for
